Position Overview
Support key initiatives defined by the Metallic Supply Chain Team. Develop and maintain Supplier relationships and support the outsourcing strategies both short-term & long-term. Negotiate long term contracts, create performance tracking methods, and support low cost sourcing initiatives. Coordinate projects and improvement activities with suppliers and Goodrich Interiors, Center of Excellence, to develop the lowest cost source of supply for direct materials. Develop make/buy tools and cost driver models for direct materials.
Primary Responsibilities
· Negotiates contracts and long term agreements with key suppliers; understand contract language
· Supports outsourcing efforts both domestically and low cost country
· Identifies lowest cost source of supply for direct materials and implements throughout the Goodrich Interiors Center of Excellence. Develops suppliers’ capabilities to improve the quality and reduce the cost and lead time of direct materials.
· Manages projects when transitioning sources of supply including oversight for the technical, customer and regulatory requirements.
· Researches, develops and implements tools, processes, or infrastructures to achieve best practices and lowest cost sources of direct material.
· Prepares and presents information such as results and processes to management, employees, and suppliers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
· BS degree, and at least 3 years related Supply Chain Management and/or Strategic Sourcing experience with a technical emphasis, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Proficient MSOffice skills.
· Strong negotiating skills.
· Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong written and verbal skills.
· Ability to multi-task with good organizational and prioritization skills.

Working Conditions – Physical requirements and environment
· Office environment with moderate noise levels.
· Occasional need to be in stockroom, or on production floor, requiring safety glasses, and exposure to solvent and adhesive vapors.
· Ability to input, retrieve, access and send information via computer.
· Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
