NAPM-SC Professional Development Tour Thursday
November 15, 2007 4:20 p.m. Please RSVP No Later Than Noon Tuesday November 13, 3:00PM
Join ISM for a tour of one of Colorado Springs’ premiere aerospace companies, Goodrich Interiors, Specialty Seating Systems. The history of Goodrich Interiors dates back to 1909 -- just six years after the first flight at Kitty Hawk. Since then, the company has become a modern industry leader in both aircraft seating and evacuation systems technology and support. The Colorado Springs seating center has been operating since 1932, and was formerly known as AMI. This location is engaged in designing and building specialty seating for commercial aircraft interiors, including pilot, co-pilot, and cabin attendant seats. Additionally, Specialty Seating Systems designs and builds military ejection seats for the F15, F16, and F22 programs. The tour will begin at 4:30PM, and will include the machine shop and assembly areas. After the tour, Monica Lammert (Director, Supply Chain -- Goodrich Interiors) will present an overview of the Specialty Seating Systems supply chain, and the roadmap for transforming the previously vertically integrated supply chain structure to a global supply chain. How can supply chain leaders transform a supply chain to meet capacity increases while maintaining or improving gross margins? Join us on November 15th for this modern case study. Please bring a valid US ID. Safety glasses and closed toed shoes are required for the tour. Glasses will be provided to those who need them.
